The Curse at the Crab six-hour endurance race is an annual favorite amongst Triangle area mountain bikers. The race takes place on the fast singletrack at Lake Crabtree. Lucas Livermon won the holeshot and in the first lap of the six hour race opened up a comfortable lead that, even as darkness fell and the lights came on, he would never relinquish. The victory was Lucas’s first in a solo endurance event. Club member Steve Sherman also represented Inland Construction; Steve rode a blistering first lap that kept him in contact with the leaders but he would later succumb to mechanical troubles.
