National Mountain Bike Series #3, Fontana, CA 05.30.2007
Fontana, CA- Inland’s Charlie Pendry and Matt Rotroff journeyed out to the West Coast to take part in the third leg of the National Mountain Bike Series. Matt continued to garner much needed National Series points in his bid to earn a spot on the Junior National Team. Matt narrowly missed his first NMBS cross-country victory, finishing just 7 seconds off the win. Charlie Pendry battled his way through the field in the Pro Men’s cross-country to finish 40th despite poor start position. In the short track event, Pendry managed to work his way up to 34th position, despite another day of poor start position. Rotroff was able to hold on to third place in the Junior short track, even after being run into a stone wall that lined part of the course.
MIDDLE MOUNTAIN MOMMA, VA STATE CHAMP SERIES
Charlie Storm placed 3rd at the Middle Mtn Momma Cross Country race on the VA State Mt Bike Series near Roanoke, VA. Training partner and pro team assistant manager Bo “the flow” Glenn placed 10th in the men’s masters field.

Santa Barbara, CA- In his quest to make the United states National Junior Mountain Bike Team, Inland Construction’s Matt Rotroff attended the second stop of the NMBS series to gain some much needed national series points. Matt delivered his first victory of the year by winning the Junior Expert short track event. He promptly followed up his short track victory by riding his new Magura and DT Swiss equipped Fuji Carbon Hardtail Mountain bike to a 2nd place in the following days cross-country event.
SOUTHERN CLASSIC SERIES CROSS COUNTRY: THE TIGER RAG
Clemson, SC– As is typically the case, the fourth stop of the Southern Classic Series in Clemson, SC saw the most heavily stacked field of Southeastern Pros so far this year. All the elements were in place for a fast race, and fast it was. Inland Construction had all four of its core pro-riders in the field, and not one of them finished outside of the top-10. Charlie Pendry narrowly missed the win when he was nipped at the line to finish 2nd place on the day, while Charlie Storm, Daniel Corum, and Matt Rotroff placed 7th, 9th,and 10th respectively.
Cyclocross specialist, Bo “the flow” Glenn made his season debut with a midpack finish in his 2nd ever expert 30-39 event.
New Inland Construction members; Craig Scalf and Josh Motta of Sanford, NC; placed 5th and 15th in the Sport 30-39 race.

Rotroff’s Breakthrough Weekend 05.02.2007
Inland Construction – BTD rider Matt Rotroff took his first win in the NMBS series last Saturday in the junior-expert short track against the top juniors in the United States. Rotroff followed up the next day with a second place in the XC race in sunny Santa Barbara, CA. This weekend Rotroff will get another shot at a win at the Fontana, CA NMBS.
