Inland Construction Dominates at Sanford

On Mar 12, at the East Coast mountain bike season opener in Reddick, FL, Inland Construction riders Charlie Storm and new pro to the team, Daniel Corum, placed 6th and 10th.

This past weekend, Inland Construction riders tested themselves locally in the Storm Endurance Sports Fat Tire Festival in Sanford, NC. Charlie Pendry dominated the race on his new Hutchinson tires from wire to wire, finishing the 29 miles in 2:00:30. Pendry and new teammate, Daniel Corum were riding together on the first lap until Corum burped his tire, which was mounted on Storm’s 2 year old wheels. Corum who would have most likely placed 2nd and took home some nice prize money, was plagued by worn out drive train problems for the remainder of the race and still brought it home strong for a 10th place finish. He loves his new Fuji Team Issue.

New Inland member, Jeremy Conn, racing in his first mountain bike event in 3 years, placed 6th in the pro field.

In the Master’s 40+ race, Jimmy Bruner placed 2nd and Greg Hales 3rd.

Inland’s Jim and Sally Edwards, both competed in their first ever cross-country event. Jim placed 6th in the talented master’s field, while Sally won the women’s Expert race.
