Inland Construction at Reston UCI Cyclocross 11.28.2005
Inland Construction’s Charlie Storm won the Reston UCI Men’s Elite Cyclocross Race on Sunday. Inland’s Storm, rode his Frank’s Cyclery tuned Fuji/Shimano cross bike in a lead group of four riders until he made his move with 20 minutes remaining in the race and then rode in alone for the win. Said Storm, “once I came off of that long descent, the DT Hubs rolled like mad and I simply had to keep ‘em moving.”
The ever growing Inland Construction team, also had a host of other riders competing. Inland’s John Degele narrowly missed guiding his Fuji Cross Pro to his first ever UCI top ten, with a 11th place in the Men’s Elite field. Susan Wilson prepared herself for the upcoming Masters National Championships, with a 10th place in the women’s elite race. Inland Construction’s cross guru, Jim Edwards showed his ever improving form in the men’s 35+ event.
Next week, the Construction Crew polishes it’s form at the NC Cyclocross Series finals in Winston Salem, NC, before many of the guys and gals head to Providence Rhode Island the following week for the Cyclocross National Championships.
