Fuji/BTD Cyclocross Team
Continuing the alliance that worked well last season, Charlie Storm will be racing up and down the East Coast and wearing the Fuji colors. With the late season exit from cycling of Charlie’s teammate and good friend, Dan Doub and Charlie Pendry’s late running mountain bike season this year, Storm will be somewhat teamless. Dan had to quit in late August under the financial pressures associated with high level racing, but I will have some BTD teammates at some of the races and Pendry won’t be able to resist doing a few cross races. He thinks his season is over after college Nationals, but he doesn’t yet know of the addiction that he created by doing cross last year. One season and you are hooked, he’ll understand soon.
Back to Dirt Cyclocross Team
Back to Dirt will be well represented regionally with members concentrating on the NC Cross series, attending some of the Eastern UCI events, and the newly formed Tennessee series.
Headlining the team will be Masters and A racer, Rob Moran, who has probably competed in the most cross races of anyone in the Southeast. 21 year old A racer Taylor Jones returns for his 5 th cross season. BTD is proud to welcome the addition of new crossie Pat ‘Rainman’ Raines. Pat is an experienced former road pro who will compete in A’s, some Elite UCI events and Master’s Nationals.
Also competing in masters and addicted to cross will be BTD team managers Bo ‘The Flow’Â Glenn and Jimmy ‘RNTL’Â Bruner.
Washington DC transplant Jason Scislowicz Claims he will race the A series in NC, but that remains to be seen.
Homepress.com Webmaster Chuck Meeks claims he will show up for the masters races too.
‘RNTL’ = Race Not To Loose
